Short report on L&TC 2019 (Poznan, Poland, 17-19 May 2019)
Résumé
This was the 9 th L&TC. First one in 1995, then every second year starting in 2005. Chair: Zygmunt Vetulani (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan), Co-chair: Patrick Paroubek (LIMSI-CNRS, France). About 100 attendees, 180 co-authors. Important delegation of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as they have an Erasmus+ project (CLASS: Interdisciplinary Master Program on Computational Linguistics at Central Asian Universities) with Adam Mickiewicz University on providing LT for their languages. Keynote talk at the Opening session by Belinda Maia (University of Porto) "e-Humanities as a challenge for Linguistic and Language Technologies". 15 sessions, most of them as two sessions in parallel + plenary Demo session.
